Staying on Track

How many times did you follow the GPS but still managed to take the wrong exit or turning. Of course, the GPS will continuously adjust and redirect you to the original journey as many times as is needed. The sooner you realise the mistake, the easier it is to get back to the intended route.

Could this be a metaphor for life? How many times did you take a chance, try something, step off your path or make a decision you regretted? Did you wish you had stuck to your original plan? How did you measure the effectiveness of this change? Was it your own choice or did someone persuade you? Did you have reservations and, if so, what did you tell yourself? How did you use your internal GPS? Is your internal GPS accurate or has the map never been updated? At what point do you get back to the original intention or decide to see what the new path has in store? What level of discomfort are you willing to endure? Is it an adventure or a suicide mission?

Maria’s Midweek Mindfulness

There is a delightful balance between sticking with the plan and experimenting. The DRM delves into our drivers, updates our internal GPS and reviews the settings so we can choose wisely within the limits of our current tolerances and those of the people around us that are affected by our actions. Expanding the limits of our tolerances is a whole other project so we choose within the best we can manage today with the resources we have today, and then we can examine if we wish we could do more or better and what it would take.

The Wednesday Whisper

When did you stick to your plan and wish you hadn’t? When did you do something different and wish you hadn’t? When did you try something and it paid off? What were the factors involved? What is your pattern?
