We’ve been working in prisons since 2009. The Dialogue Road Map has helped over 1000 offenders to overcome resistance, fear, hostility, resentment and/or anger. Our work has been recognised by Members in the house of Lords, Governors and Offender management units.
With empathy continuing to be at the heart of our DRM model, the impact that can have on such a violent place like prison is staggering. The Dialogue Road Map in this setting works by understanding and using each component appropriately and actively, to make progress in a conversation by uncovering the participants’ key motivators for change and supporting them to make those changes.
Our Facilitators
Peaceful Solutions Facilitators are Prisoners trained by the charity to support prisoners who are struggling. It is their full time prison job and they offer facilitated healing sessions and mediation to help transform lives.
As an example, in 2019-2020 over a 6 month period, 10 Facilitators provided six sessions to 150 prisoners. Violence in the prison fell as a result.
Our charity continues to support Facilitators when they come out of prison. None of our Facilitators have reoffended since leaving prison.
