Navigating difficulty
You will often hear me say that one intention of the Dialogue Road Map is to alleviate and eliminate unnecessary human suffering. Time and time again, the mainstream norms teach us to use language in ways that are punitive and adversarial. When this happens and the communication is received poorly, all intentions for connection go out of the window as we forget to stay connected to love. This results in unnecessary human suffering.
You will also hear me say that a certain amount of human suffering is necessary. Suffering is a gift that shows up when we need to learn something but couldn’t learn it any other way. A life without difficulty and discomfort rarely results in growth. Navigating the constriction of difficulties and actively allowing the learning to land is actually liberating.
It is a joy is to recognise the challenge early enough on to accept the learning without unconsciously inducing or inflicting the pain of restriction, refusal and resistance.
Maria’s Midweek Mindfulness
Mastery of DRM becomes obvious when we are able to clearly communicate to ourselves and others our intention to stay connected to love even when the ride is bumpy.
