Maria’s Midweek Mindfulness Moments

It’s the small but consistent joys in life which fertilise your happiness and your mental wealth.

Make Space to Celebrate.  In any one day there are so many things to salute but we tend to overlook them, or we are too busy to allow the achievement time to germinate and grow. Acknowledging small victories like leaving work on time, planning a nice dinner or getting around to decluttering your closet and then affording yourself a moment to bask in your own light are important factors. These are the things that ease the load.

Acknowledge your daily achievements no matter how tiny they are. Take a look at your schedule, unfold your day in your mind as if you are a bystander watching it happen. Identify the things that make you smile. What are the things that delight you? Now make yourself a promise.  Create time and space for these things to develop, and then punctuate every day with gratitude and happiness.
