Will you help us with ‘Life After Prison’?

The Wednesday Whisper

What do you see?

Sometimes it’s important to take a step back from our focus and look at what else is happening around us. It’s a practice of letting go of our fixed position and view and becoming an impartial observer to what we are witnessing and feeling into the grief or joy that is our compass.

I see a rapidly changing world with shifts that I predicted would happen yet, selfishly told myself they wouldn’t come into fruition in my lifetime, yet here they are – control masquerading as safety.

I see a mainstream world run on the unhealed trauma of those who have the means to transmit the fear rather than heal it.

And, I also see many acts of love and compassion that do not get the airtime they deserve but can be found if you choose to seek them out.

How do we choose where to look? And how to act?

Maria’s Mindfulness Moment

I choose my responses to what I see. There have been many times in my life when I have taken a stand and been attacked for doing so. It helped me to shape and choose where I want to put my energy. And there have been times when I have censored myself because the opposing force may annihilate me. And there have been times when I have taken a stand and it has resulted in more light and love.

The Wednesday Whisper

Look around, what do you see? Where do you want to put your magnifying glass? And what do you want to do about it?
