There’s an imposter about

Consider this.

The real you is loving, merciful, fair, peaceful and free. This doesn’t mean that you will never be angry or upset or sad or hurt. It means that you are able to hold these emotions within a framework of self- love

The other you is your imposter. Your imposter doesn’t trust the real you and is therefore fearful. Your imposter covers up the fear by strategising, manipulating, dominating and performing or hiding, pretending, avoiding, dismissing and withdrawing. Your imposter plays tricks with you by convincing you that the real you is the Imposter. Your imposter keeps the real you in prison and tells you that you are not free or peaceful.

Your imposter was formed in childhood and got fed by the hierarchical, punitive mainstream world we were indoctrinated into where we had to find ways to survive.

Your imposter can be laid off or retired. That is freedom.

Maria’s Mindfulness Moment

I remember my imposter very well. My imposter was very convincing, even to me. So I learned how to be good and put on a show so people would like me. It’s so much better in my later years to be free of it all and able to be the real me. I love my life.

The Wednesday Whisper
