Here are a few film clips from people who attended a 2 day introductory training called ‘Words can be windows or walls’. The training introduces the Dialogue Road Map which is a communications tool designed by me (Maria Arpa) to engage a person who is feeling hostile or resistant in a conversation to resolve a conflict. The training was hosted by Mediation Support Ltd at the Southwater Community Centre in St Leonard’s as part of an Action for Happiness group.
It was a great 2 days and refreshing to meet so people who so clearly want to contribute to the well being of their local community. I hope to find sustainable ways to continue the work down in Hastings. Meeting Ray Chapman, Chair of the Pier Trust was a meeting of hearts and minds in the understanding of how important communication and empathy are in supporting each other.
