Backward or forward to love

This week I almost launched my blog onto the mess that is our education system and the controversy of ‘school refusers’ as well as the court case regarding prayer rituals at the school with the name I treat like that of the ‘Dark Lord’ in Harry Potter that should not be spoken. (Ask me why if you dare).

And then, having spent the morning in Dartmoor with the DRM Facilitators, sharing meditation, healing and the power of love energy, I found I couldn’t and didn’t want to proceed in that direction.

My sense is to honour that energy of love and kindness and compassion and choose to see lots of people doing the best they can with what they know and where they are on their journey, even when it annoys the s**t out of me.

Because when something annoys the s**t out of me, my first place is to check myself and use my inner compass to face the direction of love.

Only from that place can I look intelligently at the actions, mine and others, and check for actual, or potential for, injury, loss or harm.

This is where we can find a voice, acting out of love and yet standing firm to divert, correct or protest injury, loss or harm to the individual, the community or the wider system.

The DRM shows us how to understand injury, loss or harm from a non-judgemental, unbiased viewpoint in which we can open a dialogue and/or act. The only intention being to get to universal love.

The Wednesday Whisper

How do you discern injury, loss and harm? How do you respond to it?
