Moments That Matter

We can spend significant amounts of time problem solving, lamenting, mourning and chasing an outcome. How we do this can range from silent thoughts to warfare. Yet even when we’re experiencing pain and conflict, taking time to celebrate is an important and necessary part of being human.

Celebration allows us to press the pause button on the everyday and mundane in order to remember the things in life that truly matter. A moment of celebration reminds us of our life purpose and how to enjoy connection with those around us.

Celebrating is also a reminder of our ability, skill and perseverance. Taking time to celebrate helps us to be mindful and is good for the soul.

To celebrate is to honour a person, an event, or a deed.  It doesn’t need to be a special occasion. It can be a silent moment of feeling pleased with oneself.

Today I am celebrating my wedding anniversary. 9 years of marriage and 16 years of togetherness. DRM in action, more often than not!
